Scientists working at the University of Southern California, home of the Department of Homeland Security’s National Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events, have created an artificial memory system that allows thoughts, memories and learned behavior to be transferred from one brain to another.

In a scene right out of a George Orwell novel, a team of scientists working in the fields of “neural engineering” and “Biomimetic MicroElectronic Systems” have successfully created a chip that controls the brain and can be used as a storage device for long-term memories. In studies the scientists have been able to record, download and transfer memories into other hosts with the same chip implanted. The advancement in technology brings the world one step closer to a global police state and the reality of absolute mind control.

More terrifying is the potential for implementation of what was only a science fiction fantasy – the “Thought Police” – where the government reads people’s memories and thoughts and then rehabilitate them through torture before they ever even commit a crime based on a statistical computer analysis showing people with certain types of thoughts are likely to commit a certain type of crime in the future.

We already pre-emptively invade nations and torture alleged terrorist suspects with absolutely no due process of law, so the idea of pre-emptively torturing a terrorist suspect before hand to prevent them from committing an act of terrorism in the future really isn’t that far fetched of an idea.

Decade-long work led by Theodore Berger at University of Southern California, in collaboration with teams from Wake Forest University, has provided a big step in the direction of artificial working memory. Their study is finally published today in the Journal of Neural Engineering. A microchip implanted into a rat’s brain can take on the role of the hippocampus—the area responsible for long-term memories—encoding memory brain wave patterns and then sending that same electrical pattern of signals through the brain.

Using an electronic system that duplicates the neural signals associated with memory, they managed to replicate the brain function in rats associated with long-term learned behavior, even when the rats had been drugged to forget.

“Flip the switch on, and the rats remember. Flip it off, and the rats forget,” said Theodore Berger of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering’s Department of Biomedical Engineering.

Obama Kills Top US Terrorist Asset Osama

US President Obama has blocked 9-11 truth by the   extra-judicial murder of  Al-Qaeda leader and US-alleged 9-11 mastermind Osama bin Laden who was America’s most valuable terrorist asset  over the last 30 years by  (a) assisting the US-backed defeat of the Russians in Afghanistan (and  thence the dismemberment of the Soviet Empire) and (b) by killing hundreds of Westerners in terrorist atrocities, thus providing the anti-terrorism justification for the post-Cold War explosion of US state terrorism in the Muslim world (bombings, invasions, occupations and 11 million Muslim dead since 1990 in US-attacked countries. Scientific evidence says that the   US rather than man-in-a-cave Osama did 9-11 but Osama was used by the actual perpetrators as an endless war-justifying bogeyman like Emmanuel Goldstein in George Orwell’s novel “1984”. As outlined below, the lying, terror hysteria narrative of the genocidal  US Alliance and the racist Zionists (RZs) must be urgently exposed before it transmutes to an even more insidious variant.

1. Osama bin Laden as a US-backed terrorist (1979-1989).

Osama bin Laden headed al-Qaeda in the ultimately successful US- and Pakistani ISI-backed  war against the  Russians (1979-1989). Russian defeat in Afghanistan contributed to the fall of Communism, the dismemberment of the Soviet Empire and massive extension of US power and influence in Eastern Europe and Central Asia . 2. Post-Cold War  and pre-9-11 terrorism by Osama bin Laden (29 US dead).

For all his fearsome reputation and iconic demonization by Western media, Osama bin Laden was a relatively ineffective terrorist. The FBI put him on its Most Wanted List for the 1998 atrocities committed by al-Qaeda in East Africa against US embassies (300 killed, mostly locals and including 12 Americans) (see “1998 United States Embassy bombings”: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_United_States_embassy_bombings ) and the 12 October 2000 attack on the USS Cole in Yemen (17 US servicemen killed) and not for involvement  in the attacks on the World Trade Center in 1993 (6 killed) and 2001. Ramzi Yousef, a convicted  perpetrator of the 1993 bombing of the WTC, apparently had no connection with Al Qaeda.   Thus the  FBI put Osama bin Laden on its Most Wanted List saying on its Bin Laden web page that Usama (Osama) Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998 bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya but did not mention the WTC while adding that “In addition, Bin Laden is a suspect in other terrorists attacks throughout the world. .” According to the 9/11 Commission, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed ( Ramzi Yousef’s uncle and alleged to be  involved in 9-11 but yet to be tried despite years of imprisonment and torture) said under interrogation (torture) that “[Ramzi] Yousef  was not a member of al Qaeda and that Yousef never met Bin Laden”.  Osama bin Laden has denied knowing Ramzi Yousef (see “Ramzi Yousef”, Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramzi_Yousef ).

3. Pre-9-11 Apartheid Israel killed more Americans  (34) than Al-Qaeda (29).

Apartheid Israel killed 34 Americans in its attack on the USS Liberty in 1997 (34 US servicemen killed and 179 wounded; see “USS Liberty incident”, Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Liberty_incident ) as compared to 29 Americans killed by al-Qaeda pre-2001. None of  the Israeli terrorist killers of Americans have been brought to justice. Indeed the US   came to an agreement with Apartheid Israeli to settle the matter and proceeded  with massive diplomatic, military and nuclear support for nuclear terrorist Apartheid Israel . In contrast the US under Clinton bombed Afghanistan and Sudan with cruise missiles in 1998 in retaliation for the al-Qaeda attacks on Americans. It has been estimated that tens of thousands of  people died because they were deprived of medicine manufactured by the Sudanese Al-Shifa pharmaceutical plant bombed by the US on 20 August 1998 in retaliation for the 7 August 1998 al-Qaeda attacks on East Africa US embassies (see “Al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory”, Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Shifa_pharmaceutical_factory ).

4. US retaliation for 1998 al-Qaeda US embassy attacks (12 US dead) passively killed tens of thousands of Sudanese.

Eminent Jewish American scholar Professor Noam, Chomsky quoted “Jonathan Belke, regional program manger for the Near East Foundation, who writes on the basis of field experience in Sudan … According  to credible analyses readily available to us, then,  proportional to population [current Sudan population 42 million, current US population 314 million] the destruction of the Al-Shifa [pharmaceutical plant] is as if the bin Laden network, in a single attack on the U.S. had caused “hundreds of thousands of people – many of them children – to suffer and die from easily treatable diseases”’”. Similarly, Professor Chomsky has quoted the German Ambassador to Sudan thus: “Germany’s ambassador to Sudan writes that “It is difficult to assess how many people in this poor African country died as a consequence of the destruction of the Al-Shifa factory, but tens of thousands seems a reasonable guess”” (see Noam Chomsky, “September 11”, Allen and Unwin, 2001, pp45-52).

5. “Enemy civilian/US citizen” death ratio 2,000 (US in Sudan, 1998) versus “Enemy civilian/German soldier” death ratio 12 (Nazi Germany in Italy, 1944).

In response to murder, including mass murder, the correct response is identification, arraignment, trial and punishment of the perpetrators, noting that establishing the facts of an atrocity is crucially important fro minimizing the chance of recurrence. However the Anglo-Americans have historically conducted themselves otherwise by vastly disproportionate violence against “enemy civilians” as exampled by the horrendous North American Indian Genocide associated with the  Anglo-American invasion of North America and the estimated 10 million British India Indians butchered by the British post-1857 in response to the Indian Rebellion (”Indian Mutiny”) in which about 2,000 British died (death ratio 10,000,000/2,000 = 5,000. In contrast, in 1944  in response to Italian partisans killing 28 German soldiers in a Rome bomb attack on 23 March, Adolph Hitler ordered the execution of 10 Italians for every dead German soldier. The order was immediately carried out the next day, 24 March 1944, with the  execution of 335 Italian men and boys in the Ardeatine Caves Massacre (see “Ardeatine Massacre”, Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ardeatine_massacre ).  The “enemy civilian/US citizen” death ratio is estimated to be about 20,000-30,000/12 =  about 2,000 for US reprisals in Sudan in 1998 as compared  to an  “Enemy civilian/German soldier” death ratio of 335/28 = 12 in the Nazi German Ardeatine Caves Massacre in Rome, Italy, March 1944.

6. Current evidence compels the view that the US did  9-11 with likely Israeli involvement.

After  the 9-11 atrocity (about 3,000 people killed , including the 19 alleged hijackers), the US Administration immediately blamed al-Qaeda rather than Apartheid Israel (a major beneficiary of the atrocity) and proceeded to egregiously lie, destroy key evidence and sabotage proper judicial investigation.  Many sensible people were sceptical of the lying Bush “official version” of 9-11 and of numerous flaws in the Bush story. The  major  science-based concerns remain  (a) compelling video, eye-witness, physics and chemical physics evidence for explosive demolition of the Twin Towers and Building 7 of the World Trade Center (WTC), (b) the unbelievable alleged landing of a passenger jet on a dime at the ground floor of the Pentagon by trainee light aircraft pilots that is also simply contrary to numerous eye-witness accounts, and (c) sustained US Administration lying and cover-up.

The 3 major hypotheses about 9-11 are (1) the lying Bush version that al-Qaeda did it, (2) al-Qaeda (or whoever) was involved but the US Government was lying and permitted it to happen (as it permitted Pearl Harbor to happen), and (3) the US Government was directly involved (with or without assistance from others, notably Apartheid Israel ). Hypothesis  #1 is adhered to by the overwhelmingly pro-war, pro-Zionist Mainstream media and by the egregiously dishonest Obama Administration following the Bush Administration that told 935  lies in the 2 years following 9-11 (see “False pretenses, Center for Public Integrity, http://projects.publicintegrity.org/WarCard/ ”. Hypothesis #2 has wide support. Thus about 90% of Germans and 50% of Americans don’t believe the US Government “official version”  (see http://socioecohistory.wordpress.com/2011/01/24/nearly-90-percent-of-germans-do-not-believe-official-911-fairy-tale/ ). Thus outstanding journalist John Pilger on 9-11: “I think there is a lot of evidence that certain elements in the Bush administration, whether by intent or by their own arrogant incompetence, I don’t know, let things happen. I think there is enough evidence to…We know the senior FBI people who gave warnings right throughout 2001. We know about the extraordinary inactivity by the NORAD aircraft on the day of September 11th. We know that Cheney was in charge of the White House on that day. I think the most plausible is the “let it happen”, now at what stage it was let happen, I don’t know, I don’t know. But certainly that seems to me, the most plausible. There is no doubt that 9/11 became the opportunity for a new “Cold War” basically, only called the “War on Terror”. Numerous science, engineering, architecture, military and intelligence experts say that the US did 9-11 (for a detailed compendium of such expert views see “Experts; US did 9-11”: http://sites.google.com/site/expertsusdid911/home ). Key lines of evidence are  the perfect, almost free-fall collapse of the 3 WTC buildings with all their  concrete turning to dust in circa 10 seconds; the analysis of numerous  eye-witness testimonies that make it impossible for a passenger jet  to have hit the Pentagon as alleged by the Bush Administration; and, most damning, the

identification of unexploded nanothermite high explosive in all samples of the WTC dust examined by Professor Niels Harrit and colleagues, Chemistry Department, University of Copenhagen (and published in a peer-reviewed chemical physics journal: http://sites.google.com/site/expertsusdid911/harrit-niels ).

Various experts have variously speculated that Apartheid Israel was involved in the 9-11 atrocity, specifically UK Middle East experts Dr Elias Akleh (US) and Alan Hart (UK),  former Italian president Professor Francesco Cossiga and former US Marine and war college professor Dr Alan Sabrowsky (see “Experts: US did 9-11”: http://sites.google.com/site/expertsusdid911/home ). Certainly Means, Opportunity and Motive plus hard evidence for Mossad involvement point to Israeli involvement with the US in the 9-11 atrocity. A key argument is that anti-Arab anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and genocidal Apartheid Israel has benefited enormously from the 9-11 atrocity whereas al-Qaeda has suffered devastating losses and the Muslim world has suffered about 9 million prematurely dead. Al-Qaeda must have been aware of the historical disproportionate retaliatory violence against non-Europeans and against Muslims in particular by the egregiously racist, violent and genocidal Anglo-Americans (e.g. see 5 above). Basic “cause and effect” considerations indicate that if al-Qaeda was indeed responsible for 9-11 as asserted by the egregiously lying, racist, violent and genocidal US Administration then Osama bin Laden must be burdened with responsibility not just for the 29 Americans killed pre-9-11 and  the 3,000 people killed on 9-11 (mostly Americans) but also,  dwarfing these atrocities, the 9 million Muslims and 1 million opiate drug-users  murdered by the Anglo-Americans since 9-11 (for details see below).  Whether Osama bin Laden was involved in the 9-11 atrocity or not, he certainly has been the most useful asset for US and Israeli terrorism and imperialism for decades.

7. About  9 million Muslims and 1 million opiate drug users have been killed by the US Alliance since 9-11.

The nuclear devastation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the saturation bombing of German and Japanese cities in WW2 set the stage for similar horrific post-war US war crimes against civilians (see 5 above). Most victims of high technology US wars against impoverished countries are civilians, these being typically about 50% children and 75%  women and children. A measure of this carnage can be obtained from analysis of UN Population Division data  to determine avoidable deaths (avoidable mortality, excess mortality, excess deaths, deaths that did not have to happen ) in victim countries in US wars. Thus it has been estimated that 1950-2005 excess deaths in countries – excluding Germany and Japan – occupied by the US in the post-1945 era total 82 million, the corresponding  values being  727 million (UK), 142 million (France) and 24 million (Apartheid Israel) (see my book “Body Count. Somalia has been variously invaded and partly occupied by the US and thence by US-backed UN forces (December 1992- May 1995) or US surrogate forces (in the period 2006-2011) and it remains substantially occupied by US-backed foreign forces. Post-invasion excess deaths in this 18.5 year period (December 1992 – May 2011) can be crudely assessed  from infant mortality data to be about 1.8 million. Excess deaths from deprivation are 1.4 times under-5 infant deaths,  69,000 under-5 year old Somali infants die each year (UNICEF) and hence on this basis total excess deaths in the post-9-11 era total 920,000. It is difficult to assess the number of post-9-11 violent deaths but comparisons with Occupied Afghanistan would suggest 0.29 million, this yielding an estimate of post-9-11 violent deaths plus avoidable deaths due to deprivation totalling 1.2 million. Somali refugees inside and outside the country total 2.1 million (UNHCR).

The US Alliance invaded Afghanistan in October 2001 after rejecting the Taliban Afghan Government’s offer to hand Osama bin Laden to a Third Country for proper investigation into involvement in the 9-11 atrocity. It must be noted that according to the lying Bush :”official version” of 9-11, no Afghans nor indeed any Iraqis, were involved in the 9-11 atrocity. Post-invasion excess deaths from war-imposed deprivation in Occupied Afghanistan total 3.8 million (UN Population Division data), noting that in Occupied Afghanistan, Occupied Somalia and Occupied Iraq the US Alliance has grossly violated Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War that both unequivocally state that an Occupier must prevent Subject deaths by supplying life-sustaining food and medical requisites “to the fullest extent of the means available to it”. Based on comparison with the 4-times more violent Iraq War, violent deaths total about 1.2 million. The post-invasion under-5 infant deaths are a horrifying 2.7 million (90% avoidable and due to US war crimes) and refugees total 3-4 million (plus a further 2.5 million Pashtun refugees generated by Obama-instigated war in NW Pakistan (see “Afghan Holocaust, Afghan Genocide”: http://sites.google.com/site/afghanholocaustafghangenocide/ ).

After nearly 13 years of deadly Sanctions (1.7 million Iraqi excess deaths from deprivation, 0.2 million Iraqi violent deaths in the Gulf War, and 1.2 million under-5 Iraqi infant deaths), and after the Bush Administration telling 935 lies in the 2 years after 9-11, most notably about the existence of actually non-existent Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction, the US Alliance (initially the US, UK and Apartheid Israel-supporting Apartheid Australia)  invaded Iraq. Post-invasion  killings in Iraq total 1.5 million (US Just Foreign Policy: http://www.justforeignpolicy.org/node/156 ),  under-5 infant deaths total 0.8 million (UN Population Division) and 5-6 million Iraqi refugees have been generated (see “Iraqi Holocaust, Iraqi Genocide”: http://sites.google.com/site/iraqiholocaustiraqigenocide/  and “Muslim Holocaust, Muslim Genocide”: http://sites.google.com/site/muslimholocaustmuslimgenocide/ ) .

While “holocaust” describes the death of a huge number of people,  genocide is defined by the Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention thus: “ “In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: a) Killing members of the group; b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group” . “Intent” is rarely confessed by mass murderers, and indeed the genocidal, politically correct racist (PC racist) US Alliance members invariably claim that they are bringing “freedom and democracy” to their victims. However “intent” can be established through remorseless, sustained action (as, for example, the “intent” of a serial killer). The US Alliance is responsible for a post-9-11 Somali Holocaust, Somali Genocide, Iraqi Holocaust, Iraqi Genocide,  Afghan Holocaust and Afghan Genocide with genocide in these instances as defined by the UN Genocide Convention.

About 250,000 people die from illicit drug use each year of whom 125,000 die from opiate drugs. The Taliban Afghan Government banned the Afghan opium industry in 2000 and Afghan opium production dropped to 6% of world market share by 2001. The 2001 US invasion resulted in restoration of the Afghan opium industry to 76 % of world market share by 2002 and to 94% by 2008 (UN ODC). It is estimated that 0.9 x .125 million per year x 9.5 years = 1.1 million people (including about 100,000 Americans and 3,000 Australians) have died opiate drug-related deaths since 2001 due to the US Alliance restoration of the Taliban-destroyed Afghan opium industry.

8. “Indigenous/ US Alliance military” death ratios in the post-9-11 US War on Terror.

The US became militarily involved in Somalia when it invaded in 1992 but in the post-9-11 era it has avoided military deaths by bombing and shelling Somalia from the air and from the sea, respectively. Accordingly, the post-9-11 “Indigenous/US military” death ratio for Somalia has been 1.2 million/ 0 = infinity. Compilations of US and US Alliance casualties make it possible to determine post-9-11 “Indigenous/ US military” and “Indigenous/ US Alliance military” death ratios for the Afghan War and the Iraq war.

In the post-9-11 period the “Indigenous/ US military” death ratio in Afghanistan has been 5.0 million/ 1,572 = 3,180 and the  Indigenous/ US Alliance military” death ratio has been 5.0 million/ 2,445 =  2,045.

In the post-9-11 period the “Indigenous/ US military” death ratio in Iraq has been 2.7 million/ 4,452 = 606  and the  Indigenous/ US Alliance military” death ratio has been 2.7 million/ 4,770 =  566.

The overall “Indigenous/ US military” death ratio in the US Alliance War on Terror has so far been approximately 9 million/ 6,000 = 1,500,  as compared to the “Indigenous/ invading military” death ratio of 10 ordered by Nazi German leader Adolph Hitler in March 1944.

9. Obama’s extra-judicial murder of Osama bin Laden , America ‘s most valuable terrorist asset.

Prior to 9-11, al-Qaeda under Osama bin Laden had killed  fewer Americans (29) than Apartheid Israeli state terrorists (34). However Osama served an invaluable role for the neocon Anglo-Americans and the racist Zionists as a bogeyman akin to Emmanuel Goldstein in George Orwell’s “1984”. Al-Qaeda terrorism, while astonishingly ineffective compared to US, UK or Apartheid Israeli terrorism,  was the invaluable basis of US, UK, Apartheid Israeli and general Western anti-Arab anti-Semitism, Islamophobia,  terror hysteria, warmongering and genocidal war-making. While the scientific evidence points squarely to US involvement in 9-11, this atrocity was readily attributed to al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden by the egregiously dishonest Bush and Obama Administrations and by pro-Zionist, pro-US Western media. This circus has reached new depths with the Mainstream Media (MSM) now faithfully reporting US concerns that the Pakistani Government,  military and intelligence had been well aware for years of the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden, yet unreported is the Elephant-in-the-room reality that this same person has been America’s most valuable terrorist asset for the last 30 years.

The terror hysteria surrounding  Osama bin Laden has also permitted his extra-judicial execution by President Obama (if indeed the person executed was indeed Osama, the Americans having conveniently disposed of the body at sea).  The Bush Administration  rapidly disposed of the 9-11WTC steel as scrap to Asia (thus eliminating key forensic evidence as to how 3 WTC buildings were demolished in a facsimile of expert explosive demolition); set up a phony 9-11 investigation; and rejected the offer of extradition of Osama bin Laden to a Third country for interrogation. Now Obama has similarly destroyed key evidence in relation to what happened on 9-11 by murdering a key witness. Indeed whoever did 9-11, the extra-judicial murder of a key witness, Osama bin Laden, makes President Obama an accessory after the fact of 9-11. The key point of any judicial process is not just  punishing the alleged transgressors but critically  determining the facts of the matter to minimize the probability of recurrence (rational risk management).

In summary, Osama bin Laden has been America ‘s most valuable terrorist “asset” for 30 years, fuelling the terror hysteria-based US War on Terror and enabling a racist, pro-Zionist, violent and genocidal neocon America to variously bomb, invade, occupy and devastate Muslim countries from Libya to Pakistan . The US was almost certainly involved in the 9-11 atrocity but Osama bin Laden was made the equivalent of bogeyman Emmanuel Goldstein in Orwell’s novel “1984” by successive US administrations with the help of pro-war, pro-Zionist Mainstream media. Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden were responsible for the killing of at most several thousand Westerners if one assumes their unlikely complicity in the 9/11 atrocity. Osama bin Laden was America ‘s chief terrorist asset and helped enable the US Alliance to kill 9 million Muslims since 9-11 as well as causing the deaths of over 1 million people world-wide from opiate drug-related causes due to US Alliance restoration of the Taliban-destroyed Afghan opium industry.  The demonization of Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda by the Mainstream media and politicians has enabled a vastly more deadly UK , US and Apartheid Israeli terrorism to flourish coupled with overwhelming Mainstream  media censorship of the Awful Truth. Hugely disproportionate but predictable,  murderous,   civilian targeting  Western responses  to terrorist atrocities by al-Qaeda mean that Osama bin Laden must bear a major responsibility for the Western murder of 11 million Muslims in the period 1990-2011.
